Gluten Free Oatmeal Honey Bread
I love the taste of homemade breads, but making them gluten free can sometimes pose a challenge. But this recipe turned out great!
This bread has a nice comforting flavour with a little hint of sweetness to keep it interesting!
It uses few ingredients and is definitely achievable even for the most novice chef! If you love homemade breads as much as I do you will love this recipe and all you gluten free eaters out there will appreciate it. Happy baking!
Ingredients:
2 tsp. instant yeast
1 cup warm 1% milk
1/3 cup warm water
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups oat flour
2 cups gluten free cake flour
1. Combine warm milk and water, add yeast, lightly mix and let sit for 10 minutes.
2. Add honey, salt, coconut oil, mix well. Slowly incorporate oat flour and cake flour, mix with hands until well combined ( a few minutes).
3. Cover with tea towel and let sit for 1.5-2 hours.
4. Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a loaf pan, form dough into a log shape and place in pan. Bake for 30- 40 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean & enjoy!
