Banana Bread Oatmeal
Since I haven't created a breakfast recipe in awhile I though today was the perfect day for me to great creative with my morning oatmeal. I love experimenting and sharing my success with you guys!I didn't know exactly what I was going for but with a few ingredients and some experimenting I came up with an oatmeal that reminded me of banana bread!
It was warm and rich with the perfect balance of banana and sweetness while still maintaining my healthy food goals. Go ahead and try out this recipe, I promise you'll love it!
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1/3 cup oatmeal
half a banana
approx. 1/3 cup almond milk
1 tsp. coconut sugar
1 tsp. all natural maple syrup
1/2 tsp. butter extract
1/2 tsp. banana extract
1. Cook oatmeal according to package instructions. ( For me I add 1 cup water, 1/3 cup oatmeal and let it cook for about 7 mins)
2. Once finished cooking place in a bowl mix in butter and banana extract, maple syrup and almond milk.
3. Top with sliced banana and a sprinkle of coconut sugar.
