Vegetarian Chili

Image

This is my super simple, clean chili recipe. It used super simple ingredients and is my go to meal when I have a late class or a late workout class.

What You'll Need:

1 can ( 796 mL) Heinz Original Beans in Tomato Sauce

1 can (540mL) Red Kidney Beans, drained and rinsed

1 can (540mL) Black Beans, drained and rinsed

2 cans (796mL) diced tomatos

1 red pepper

1 green pepper

1/2 onion

3 cloves minced garlic

2 tbsp. olive oil

1. Combine olive oil, garlic and onion in a large pot, sauté on medium heat for 1 minute. Add chopped peppers, sauté for another 7 minutes or until peppers are tender.

2. Add tomato's, Heinz original beans, red kidney beans and black beans , give it a good stir. Place the lid on the pot, and bring to a boil on high heat. Once boiling, turn the heat down to low and allow to simmer for 1 hour.

3. After 1 hour take the lid off and allow to simmer for another 30-60 mins, to allow the water to evaporate.
