Blueberry Muffin Oatmeal
Oatmeal is my go to breakfast. I eat oatmeal for breakfast probably about 90% of the time because not only is it extremely nutritious but is also customizable to your liking.
This creation of mine is what I like to call a Blueberry Muffin Oatmeal as it reminded of a blueberry muffin. It was sweet and warm with the right amount of blueberries mixed in and allowed me to feel like I was enjoying a treat for breakfast while I was actually eating healthy! I hope you guys enjoy this creation of mine.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup oatmeal
1 cup water
approx. 1/3 cup blueberries
approx. 1/3 cup almond milk
1/2 tsp. butter extract or real butter if you prefer
1 tsp. all natural maple syrup
1 tsp. coconut sugar
1. Cook oatmeal by adding 1/3 oats to 1 cup water. Cook in a sauce pan for 5-7 minutes or until ready.
2. Add oatmeal to a dish and combine blueberries, almond milk, butter extract, maple syrup and coconut sugar, stir and enjoy!

I love oatmeal and also eat gluten free! Do you use the gluten free oats? I have found a couple brands of instant gluten free oatmeal that I really enjoy, but this recipe is too tempting not to try :)
ReplyDeleteNo, I just use regular oats as oats are naturally gluten free, the biggest problem with them is contamination so unless it is stated that they are a gluten free oat they are processed in facilities that also process wheat. For me I am not that sensitive to gluten so a little bit of cross contamination doesn't effect me, therefore I am fine eating regular oats. I would like to try gluten free oats though just to see if they are the same are regular oats. This recipe is a really good recipe so I hope you give it a try and enjoy it!
