Oatmeal Baked Apple

IMG_0401edited2

Last night after dinner I was craving something sweet, so I though in my head of a healthy yet sweet dessert that would curb that craving and this is what I came up with, an oatmeal baked apple! I didn't use an exact measurements so the amounts are just approximates, I just went with what I thought looked like good amounts and it turned out great.

What You'll Need:

1 apple

2-4 tbsp. oatmeal

3-4 tbsp. almond milk

cinnamon

approx. 2 tsp. stevia

1 tsp. all natural maple syrup

100g frozen vanilla yogurt

1. First I cut the top off my apple, then cleaned out the apple so I had room for my filling.

2. Sprinkle the inside of the apple with some stevia and cinnamon.

3. Take the innards of the apple you cut out, chop into little pieces

4. In a little bowl combine oats, almond milk, more cinnamon, maple syrup and maybe more stevia ( depending on how sweet you want it), apple pieces. Mix well and stuff into apple.

5. Bake apple at 375 F for about 30-40 mins. It will be soft when ready.

I topped mine with non fat vanilla yogurt that I had sitting in the freezer for about 2 hours prior to making this dessert and some cinnamon. I hope you all enjoy this easy, clean dessert!
